+ Ballad of the Broken Seas +

I would like to weigh in with tmwsiy* on the Mark Lanegan/Isobel Campbell collaboration Ballad of the Broken Seas. I too agree it to be one of my favorite releases thus far in 2006. Lanegan's trademark whiskey & cigarette informed vocals own the majority of the album's tunes, with Campbell's light, airy vocals complimenting throughout.
